Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be recruiting a Lead UX Designer in the heart of Glasgow for their client, a leading award winning- agency Digital Agency with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London.

Our client are looking for a candidate with a commercial background to shape the UX practice and service offering within the agency. You will be working with the digital team to ensure the end output of digital projects deliver best in class user and brand experiences.


You will work with clients in a range of sectors across B2C and B2B. Clients range from startups to large multi-national corporations. Every project is different with some driving sales and others building brand awareness.

Your job will be to…

  • Be the creative lead and inspire the team.
  • Deliver UX workshops.
  • Be responsible for upholding and improving technical design standards.
  • Work closely with client service, project management, creative and marketing teams to deliver outstanding digital projects.
  • Take charge in creating new technical strategies.
  • Commercial awareness - Push the agency’s digital offering in new and exciting directions.

The must-haves:

  • Relevant experience and an outstanding portfolio of prior creative work that demonstrates an end-to-end process of conception to delivery using design thinking, across a range of different projects and platforms.
  • Previous experience as a technical design lead or in a senior technical position, ideally within a digital agency or an in-house digital team.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Technically minded, but able to cut through the jargon.
  • Excited about driving innovation across digital platforms.
  • A team player through and through.
  • Public speaking experience.
  • A flair for writing about digital and technology.
