Job Brief 

As a Marketing Analyst you will be reporting directly to the executive board, working with a highly skilled team. Your role will be pivotal in translating results and outcomes into meaningful analysis and insights to influence and drive business change.

Using your commercial awareness and able to take a holistic view of the business, you'll need to understand the synergies between analysis and the wider business  and products to highlight key trends behind the numbers, advising on an analytical roadmap. You'll produce bespoke analysis and insight into gaming performance; communicating key information, providing insights and making recommendations

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Analysis of google analytics data and other sources to construct business strategy plans and translating data into actions.
  • Share information in a readable and understandable manner to executive team with reports on current business status and direction.
  • Reach meaningful conclusions and make recommendations (cost-benefit, invest-divest, forecasting, impact analysis and ROI) which will optimise performance.
  • Attend daily stand-ups and contribute to team planning sessions 
  • Stay abreast of digital tools, platforms and industry trends. 
  • Contribute to Growth Hacking features with A/B testing.

Requirements 

  • You will have 2 years+ experience in an analyst or similar role
  • In-depth experience of Google Analytics (or similar)
  • Experience of working with data handling software
  • Highly experienced working with large, complex data sets drawing robust conclusions.
  • Experienced in planning roadmaps
  • Familiar with high level decision making, business partnering, and delivering shared objectives.
  • Able to work well in an agile environment, where requirements are still in flux 
  • Great interpersonal skills 
  • Problem-solving aptitude, ability to think on your feet and action solutions 
  • Enjoy working closely with others as part of a close-knit team 

Other useful experience and skills

  • Preferably have experience with African data, for example, Opera Mini Extreme Mode (non JavaScrip enabled analytics)
  • Development experience and programming ability  
  • Previous exposure to a start-up environment
