Multi-skilled Engineer – Weekend Shifts
Fri - Sun: 0600 - 1820
Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a globally recognised drinks manufacturer and are looking for a multi-skilled engineer to work with them in their site based just outside Glasgow.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Operations – to provide effective first line response to Bottling operations requirements and to carry out line changeovers to agreed standards and procedures. As part of a manufacturing team, you will provide effective and timely line cover, minimising setup and breakdown losses during production time.
- Maintenance – to maintain and improve line performance in relation to agreed targets and ensure planned preventative maintenance is completed as scheduled.
- Continuous Improvement – to participate in operations and engineering improvement initiatives and to initiate, implement and follow up of minor projects in a continuous improvement environment.
- Collaboration – to coach and develop Apprentice MSTs and Equipment and to ensure information flow during shift changeovers.
Requirements
- Have a recognised trade qualification, can be primarily Mechanical or Electrical but must have skills in both disciplines.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment ideally on packaging equipment or warehousing.
- Have knowledge of PLC, variable speed control and servo drive.
- Can demonstrate effective Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement skills.
- Can develop new skills and has the willingness to train others.
- Are computer literate and able to operate business process computerised systems.
