Nine Twenty are working with our Glasgow based Textile Manufacturing client in their need for a Product Manager to join their team permanently. The Role:
As a Product Manager, you will focus on innovation of new products, fabrics & systems for the market. You will understand the market and customer needs and work collaboratively within a team environment. You will be involved full project management from concept to fruition ensuring smooth communication & collaboration with all departments involved. You will preferably bring with you a Degree in a Design or Engineering discipline along with at least 3 years industry experience with strong innovation & design skills coming from a Lean Manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Project management from concept to fruition of textiles & products - ensure full project definition, agreement, engagement of teams and delivery of all aspects of project
- Identifying product opportunities
- Customer trusted Lead Contact and Support
- Training and Manufacture Lead for Customers
- Communication and collaboration with all departments involved in the project process
- Maintain database of all known Product Issues and FAQ’s
- Evaluate the effectiveness and suitability of sample products from existing and prospective suppliers
- Maintain supplier and competitor databases
Skills required:
- Degree level qualification in Design or Engineering Qualification or equivalent experience
- At least 2-3 years industry experience
- Strong leadership & innovation skills
- Strong in depth experience in Design Processes
- Experienced in Lean Manufacturing processes preferred
