Nine Twenty are looking for a Senior Packaging Technologist to join our clients team on a full time and permanent basis.
The successful candidate will have at least 5+ years working within multinational Spirits/Drinks company working with Luxury Packaging, be able to work under pressure & work within a fast paced role and be agile.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Packaging Innovation / NPD delivery with a high focus on creating famous brands, support a demanding Malt innovation plan
- Develop new packaging components that meet the marketing brief in terms of functionality, cost and
- timings in line with the business process
- Support concept design with technical solutions based on supplier capabilities and material knowledge
- Component development and fit for purpose delivery, facilitating packaging solutions, advising
- stakeholders of progress and issues
- Maintaining and creating materials specifications as well as product data sheets
- Managing and facilitating approval of packaging line trials
- Operates established processes and looks at ways to further develop said processes
- Provides packaging technical expertise internally, identifying, investigating, testing, trialling and
- resolving both potential and actual issues
Skills required:
- 5+ years of work experience in similar roles in a multinational Spirits/Drinks company
- Experience and knowledge of packaging materials, including manufacturing processes, design and development
- Experience of material and component testing using laboratory measurement and testing equipment
- Project management skills coordinating between different functions and departments
- Independent handling, prioritization and tracking of all assigned projects
- Proven team player with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business and build strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Proficiency with MS Office, expert in Excel and PowerPoint
