Sales Executive
Hybrid | Location: Glasgow, Scotland | Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Our client is a fast-growing Microsoft Partner specialising in AI enablement, implementation and agent delivery, helping organisations move from AI experimentation to real, measurable business impact. As they continue to scale, they are looking for a Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team. This is a hybrid role, primarily focused on new business development, with the opportunity to build lasting relationships with the clients you bring on board. It's well suited to someone who's driven by generating opportunities and closing deals, but who also enjoys nurturing accounts once they've landed them. You will work closely with delivery, enablement and marketing teams to ensure a smooth handover and a joined-up client experience from first contact through to long-term partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting, outreach and building relationships with potential clients.
- Own the sales cycle end-to-end — from initial contact and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and close.
- Understand each prospect's business goals and challenges, positioning the right services and solutions to meet them.
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, tracking activity and forecasting revenue using CRM tools.
- Support the coordination of client onboarding once deals are closed, working alongside delivery consultants to ensure a strong start to the relationship.
- Maintain relationships with key accounts post-sale, identifying opportunities to expand engagements or introduce new services.
- Prepare client-facing materials, proposals and pitch decks to support the sales process.
- Collaborate closely with sales, delivery and enablement teams to ensure consistency throughout the client journey.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in a new business or sales-focused role, ideally within technology, SaaS or consultancy environments.
- A strong track record of, or clear aptitude for, generating and closing new business.
- Some exposure to account management or client success would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to open doors with new prospects.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (such as Dynamics 365 or similar) is beneficial.
- An interest in AI, Microsoft technologies or the broader technology consulting landscape would be a strong advantage.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across sales, delivery and technical teams.
What We're Looking For
- Commercially driven and proactive, genuinely curious about AI and its impact on business.
- A confident, persuasive communicator who can build trust quickly and win new business.
- Someone who enjoys the thrill of the chase but also takes pride in looking after what they've won.
- A collaborative, team-first attitude and a desire to grow within a fast-moving AI consultancy environment.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working within a Microsoft Partner ecosystem.
- Prior exposure to AI, automation or digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger).
