Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking for more autonomy, diverse project exposure, and a business that’s genuinely investing in the future? If so, this could be the perfect next step for you.
We are partnering with a long-established and well-respected manufacturing business who are embarking on a significant 5-year CAPEX programme across multiple sites in Scotland. They are now looking to add a Project Engineer to their small but high-performing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of engineering projects, from upgrades in process and FMCG manufacturing environments to packaging, office fit-outs, facility enhancements, and new builds.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with internal customers to scope and develop engineering projects aligned to the capital plan.

Identify cost-effective engineering solutions across a wide range of manufacturing and operational settings.

Develop detailed project scopes, specifications, budgets, and justifications.

Oversee full project lifecycle: delivery, contractor management, compliance, and stakeholder communication.

Ensure strong collaboration with operational teams and compliance stakeholders.

Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering history files.

Provide regular project progress updates and risk assessments.

Support capital budgeting and approval processes.

Deliver training to end users upon project completion.

Drive continuous improvement and support wider business improvement initiatives.

Carry out occasional fault finding or engineering support to resolve plant issues.
What We’re Looking For:

Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent experience in a technical/project engineering role.

Proven experience delivering engineering or CAPEX projects within manufacturing or industrial environments.

Strong communicator and natural problem solver with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Ability to juggle multiple projects while ensuring high standards and compliance.
