We are partnering with a long-established and well-respected manufacturing business who are embarking on a significant 5-year CAPEX programme across multiple sites in Scotland. They are now looking to add a Project Engineer to their small but high-performing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of engineering projects, from upgrades in process and FMCG manufacturing environments to packaging, office fit-outs, facility enhancements, and new builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal customers to scope and develop engineering projects aligned to the capital plan.

  • Identify cost-effective engineering solutions across a wide range of manufacturing and operational settings.

  • Develop detailed project scopes, specifications, budgets, and justifications.

  • Oversee full project lifecycle: delivery, contractor management, compliance, and stakeholder communication.

  • Ensure strong collaboration with operational teams and compliance stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering history files.

  • Provide regular project progress updates and risk assessments.

  • Support capital budgeting and approval processes.

  • Deliver training to end users upon project completion.

  • Carry out occasional fault finding or engineering support to resolve plant issues.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree-qualified engineer or equivalent experience in a technical/project engineering role.

  • Proven experience delivering engineering or CAPEX projects within manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Strong communicator and natural problem solver with excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while ensuring high standards and compliance.

Why Apply?

  • A broad and varied role – every project is different.

  • Genuine exposure to different sites, technologies, and functions across a growing business.

  • A business culture that values innovation, collaboration, and employee development.

  • Strong benefits package and long-term progression opportunities.

If you're ready to take ownership, expand your experience and be part of a business driving real investment – we'd love to hear from you.
