 Process Engineer

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are proud to be partnering with CCL Design who are the World Leading manufacturer of printed, functional and decorative products for the electronics, automotive and industrial industries

Part of CCL Industries, the largest label company in the world, CCL Design specialise in a wide range of products including labels, die-cut components, branding products and security applications. CCL have manufacturing sites across the globe and design centres in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Their in house Materials Science capabilities allow them to provide innovative solutions to meet their client’s needs and requirements.

Nine Twenty are supporting in the recruitment of CCL Design’ new Process Engineer who will join the team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have focus on Sustaining Equipment & Process performance and a drive for Continuous Improvement. You will have hands on experience & strong understanding of process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure machine equipment for Capability, reliability and repeatability – working closely with the maintenance department
  • Daily review of Production status with Shift Leaders for all key Product Related Issues. (e.g. Yield, Product Fails, Bottlenecks)
  • Review production performance KPIs
  • Conducting New Equipment Identification, Selection and Introduction – build supplier relationships keeping up to date with industry trends
  • Identify ways of improving processes, ensuring changes are implemented effectively
  • Identify bottle necks within the process, due to processing issues, look for ways to resolve and action
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is available, well maintained and in good working order
  • Train and develop the team through the transfer of knowledge
  • Weekly Meetings with Production team to drive CI activity

Skills required:

  • HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • Hands on experience within a Plant/Manufacturing environment – coming from the printing industry is a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge of statistical process controls
  • Working knowledge of production trials
  • Strong Problem solving skills such as 8D
  • Good continuous improvement skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate people to achieve targets
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge performance from other areas
  • Strong data analysis skills utilizing Excel or other relevant tools
  • Understanding of quality systems
