Print Technician

A rare opportunity has arisen with an interiors brand based in Glasgow, with an exceptional reputation in creating high-quality fabric and furnishings.
You will work alongside a multi-disciplined team of up to 6 staff in our clients own inhouse production facility and be involved in the printing of their own textiles on various Digital Print Machinery, producing large volumes of textiles per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will work within a team of 6 print operatives
- You will run state of the art digital textile and wallpaper printing and finishing equipment
- You will ensuring the Wide Format Digital textile printers are used to full capacity
- You will ensure colour consistency and quality across products
- You will prioritise workloads in order to achieve maximum output and meet customer deadlines
- You will liaise with the purchasing/planning department on priorities for the print room
- You will ensure machine maintenance and cleaning schedules for both the machines and the print room are adhered to
- You will be involved in cutting of wallpaper and textile products
- You will liaise with the design studio regarding print work they require
Skills required:
- You will have a manufacturing Printing background - Litho OR Digital printing - training will be provided for the specific machinery
- You will bring a creative mindset
- You will work within an active role where you are mostly on your feet and you must be hands and comfortable moving heavy rolls of fabric & paper
- You will be Quality and solutions focused
- You will bring strong communications skills
- You will bring a general understanding of printing machines and finishing equipment
