We are delighted to be supporting our client in their need for a Planning Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible to collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager and Demand Manager on an International level whilst leading a team of of Planners. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, develop and motivate a team of Planners
  • Preparation of plans at regional level annually
  • Developing demand forecasts 
  • Effective management of DMOS Volume Planning Process
  • Develop supply plans to match sales forecasts
  • Manage and lead S&OP process for the International Region​
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Interact with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Finance to understand demand forecast drivers
  • Working with Central Planning, Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts
  • Work closely with Group Planning on Best Practice Demand Planning methodologies
  • Driving a continuous improvement culture 
  • Provide input to the supply planning organisation in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs
  • Recommend actions to adjust for under- and overloading, critical customer expedition, etc.
  • Assist Procurement with the implementation and maintenance of supplier Service Level Agreements (SLAs), scorecards and monthly/ quarterly business reviews
  • Support strategic sourcing-related project milestones 
  • Maintain planning KPIs for team 
  • Work with the Customer Services and Logistics Manager 
  • Accountable for Rough Cut Capacity Planning management 
  • Manage 3rd party co-packer relationships and service level

Skills required:

  • Degree level or higher in accredited institute in supply chain management, engineering, or significant work experience in a manufacturing/planning/project environment
  • Knowledge in Sales Forecasting, Production Planning, Vintage Planning or Stock Management 
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a Planning/Project Management/Purchasing/Production Leadership role
  • Knowledge of Excel & SAP
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal, leadership & problem-solving skills
