Nine Twenty Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our Manufacturing client in need for a Packaging Technologist to join their team.
You are responsible for delivering technical packaging development to support business initiatives. To support the growing new product development pipeline and additional pack development needs within the business.
Responsibilities
- Effective delivery of new product projects and managing some of the key brands through packaging development
- Provide commercial guidance with an agreed framework
- Provide technical packaging development services to Marketing and operations
- Be first point of contact for on-line technical packaging support to the production, quality & engineering teams, to ensure that quality and operational issues are dealt with quickly and effectively
- Conduct improvement projects to increase efficiency of existing packaging
- Work within and maintain updates to current Project Management and Activity Tracking processes
- Supporting the technical packaging specification management system
- Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Developing good working relations with packaging suppliers
- Achieve set KPIs
- Continuously seek improvement
- lead and participate in root cause problem solving activities
Skills Required
- Experience of packaging development and work with BoM’s
- Previous experience in the spirits industry would be advantageous
- Attention to detail to deliver right first-time packaging solutions
- Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working in a cross functional environment where ideas are shared and challenged
- Energy and enthusiasm; candidates must find the work "fun" and enjoy being accountable and willing to hold others accountable
- Strong communication skills
