We are delighted to partner our client who is a leading stand alone Scotch Whisky business in their search for an experience Packaging Manager to join them as they continue in their investment in their plant, their improvement journey and continue to build a culture of empowerment. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established team who has energy and passion for the business, the people and what they are aiming to achieve. The role is varied and will focus on leadership of a team of c20 people across the bottling and packaging areas, ensuring all quality, cost, safety, compliance targets are achieved, lead and advocate the Improvement Programme within your area and working closely with CI Team, Managing and developing budgets, developing strategies for high performance within your area, collaborate with peer group, reporting, data analysis.

They have worked hard in building an environment that is proactive to improve and this stems from the teams and the ability to improve themselves, suggest new ways of working and work together to continue on the journey to World Class Manufacturing. Your leadership skills will be key in ensuring this is taken forward. 

Due to the technical nature of some aspects of this role, the client would ideally like people with bottling experience who can understand how new materials being introduced can impact on lines, who has some exposure to NPD and contract bottling.

  • Degree in technical/scientific subject
  • NEBOSH
  • Green Belt
  • Extensive experience of leadership in FMCG environment (ideally bottling) 
  • Be able to demonstrate building high standards and behaviours in a World Class Manufacturing environment
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Champion of manufacturing excellence leadership, management tools and techniques 
  • Financial acumen
  • Comfortable using MS Office/SAP
