A rare and exciting role at one of our key clients, for a packaging operations manager has come up to focus on all day to day aspects of their busy and fast paced bottling site. To lead and support the Engineering, Supply chain, Maturation, Ancillary & Bottling teams ensuring a strong teamworking ethic and be a constant driving force in improving standards of performance against key objectives such as SHE, BRC, customer satisfaction, quality and the overall well-being of the team.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Lead the team ensuring all appropriate accreditation and standards are maintained for the site

·         Identify route cause(s) of manufacturing waste and introduce effective measures to eliminate/reduce.

·         Drive and support continuous process improvements by challenging existing practices and behaviours.

·         Constantly promote safe working practices ensuring all Company policies, procedures and systems are always adhered to.

·         Lead and develop your team appropriately providing full engagement.

·         Consistently review and improve GMP’s.

·         Senior leader contribution to the management of safety and environmental requirements required of an Upper tier COMAH site.

To be successful for this role, you should 

·         Proven experience & success in similar leadership FMCG manufacturing environment.

·         Successful track record of implementing Lean Six Sigma focused operational excellence and CI programmes, preferably in bottling, liquid fill, packaging environment.

·         Experience of HSE / BRC audits and the standards requirements of a packaging and warehouse environment

·         Leadership capability is essential, be able to demonstrate meaningful sustainable change in people performance.

·         Experience of the requirements of EU/UK major retailers.

·         Excellent numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills in a FMCG environment.

·         Strong communication, coaching and mentoring skills.
