Nine Twenty Engineering are working with a leading producer within a process distillery plant. Due to an exciting period of expansion and restructure they now have an opportunity for a talented Multi skilled maintenance engineer to join their team.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have a recognised industry qualification in mechanical engineering and have experience in a predominantly mechanical role. Ideally you will have worked in a multi-skilled maintenance role preferably gained in a heavy process plant. In addition, you will have a working knowledge of mechanical maintenance engineering, but the main focus of the role is mechanical. You should be able to communicate effectively be self-motivated and able to work to pace.

The Role:

This is a challenging and demanding role providing maintenance engineering support within a process plant. You will have a varied role and your duties and responsibilities will include maintaining a wide range of equipment, general electrical and mechanical maintenance and assist in machine installation. You will also be required to maintain health and safety standards as well as maintaining high standards.


Recognised apprenticeship, HNC/HND Mechanical engineering or equivalent

IOSH/NEBOSH preferable


  • Competent in MIG, TIG and stick welding processes, sheet metal and steel fabrication procedures.
  • Experience in maintaining Boilers, steam systems and Distillery process plant equipment
  • Prioritising and planning workload from CMMS
  • Good knowledge of engineering best practices and principles
  • Strong health and safety knowledge, IOSH preferable
  • Exposure to project work and contractor engagement advantageous
  • Full driving licence essential
