Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be partnering with a leading innovative travel brand in Glasgow in the recruitment of a Lead Java Developer.
The business has scaled up significantly over the last 2 years and they are now heavily investing in their technology team. The role involves working closely with the R&D team and will focus on automating business processes. The business is looking for a Java Developer who has excellent leadership skills and has the desire to build a development team in the heart of Glasgow. You will take the lead of the development team in new and exciting greenfield project work on a global scale.
As the Lead Java Developer, you will be adaptable to change and be able to make technical decisions.
Ideally you will have experience of leading a technical team or being a mentor. You will love problem solving and be passionate about delivering pragmatic solutions that make a real difference.
Technical Background:
- Excellent clean coding skills
- Many years of experience delivering web application projects in a professional environment.
- Experience with one Object Orientated programming language - Java, Python or PHP
- Great communication skills and the ability to work with people across our business to design the best tools.
- Experience with JavaScript, ideally node.js
- SQL
- HMTL, CSS
- AWS – or similar cloud platform
Good to have:
- Experience leading a technical team
- Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence experience
- DynamoDB
