Nine Twenty are working with our Manufacturing client who are looking for a Janitor to join their team.
You must have experience in cleaning and providing upkeep for spaces and buildings, performing basic inspections, maintaining cleaning supplies and generally ensuring a safe working environment.
Duties:
- Cleans and keeps up various surfaces and material within a factory building and offices
- Cleans and disinfects amenity areas including showers, canteen and toilets
- Replenishes supplies such as shower gel, toilet paper, soaps, hand sanitiser and hand towels
- Responds to urgent situations, such as spills, that require quick action
- Identifies cleaning supplies and equipment requirements
- Collects, removes waste and recycling from a factory building and offices.
- Makes minor installation and repairs as necessary, including tasks such as Installing safety signs and painting.
- Notifies manager when issues arise which may affect productivity and safety.
- Records meter readings.
- Maintains a level of security in a factory building and perimeter, such as locking doors, fence inspection, storing keys, and using access codes for restricted areas and rooms
- Issues and records PPE and workwear, along with PPE store organisation and replenishment
