Nine Twenty Technology are delighted to be assisting their long-term, Glasgow based client, in the recruitment of an Infrastructure Analyst.

The purpose of the role: 

  • To deliver excellent levels of service and change across the organisations user community through effective project and programme management capability
  • To manage IT risk and ensure high levels of availability and resilience through the pro-active management of IT infrastructure assets and support partners
  • To ensure the Company’s IT Governance framework is developed and maintained and to meet the Information Security requirements
  • To proactively identify opportunities and drive service improvement, availability, resilience and capability of the Company’s IT network infrastructure
  • To ensure effective delivery of a physical site security infrastructure refresh
  • To establish strong business wide partner relationships and help maximise effective and efficient system adoption to provide recognisable benefits

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the front line defence of our networks, protecting information from unauthorised access and violations. Assess potential security risks, develop plans and implement measures to address current and ongoing security threats and risks
  • In consultation with user departments, explore opportunities for improved tools for the job adoption and investigate options and methods which may be used to deliver improvements.
  • Monitor the performance of all hardware platforms, investigate and recommend any enhancements which may be required.
  • Provide technical support and advice on matters referred by the Help Desk. Support the installation of agreed changes, repairs and/or upgrades required to the hardware, operating system or business applications

Key competencies:

  • Self-motivated and be able to work on his/her own initiative and with the minimum of direct supervision
  • In depth network knowledge and experience including LAN switches, wireless and firewall technologies
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering a fully functioning IT governance framework
  • Knowledge of a manufacturing operations in a similar sized company
  • Previously led or supported a physical site security system implementation, process and associated policies
  • Experience with Google G-Suite
  • Have significant experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment
  • Self-learner, change champion, effective planner and positive, confident communicator
