Head of Technology

Location: South Lanarkshire Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote

Role Overview

Nine Twenty are currently partnering with a fantastic organisation in Glasgow who are seeking an experienced Head of Technology to lead and execute their technology strategy, with a strong focus on innovation, Salesforce platform leadership, and digital transformation. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring that systems, products, and infrastructure are secure, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals. You will be joining a wider senior leadership team in a extremely buoyant sector with an organisation that has really ambitious plans. With a simplified tech stack, heavy Salesforce adoption, and innovative work around AI and automation, this is a chance to help shape the future direction of the company’s technology function.

The Head of Technology will:

  • Drive research, adoption, and integration of emerging technologies

  • Lead product development and business systems (Salesforce at the core)

  • Safeguard operations through robust cybersecurity and compliance practices

  • Maximise value from budgets, partnerships, and resources

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Board, C-Suite, and stakeholders, translating technology investments into measurable outcomes

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy & Innovation

  • Define and implement the organisation’s technology vision

  • Identify and integrate emerging tools to drive growth and efficiency

2. Platform & Systems Ownership

  • Lead the Salesforce platform and wider business systems

  • Ensure platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned to business objectives

3. Leadership & Team Management

  • Build and mentor a high-performing technology team

  • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes

4. Product & Infrastructure Delivery

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of technology products, platforms, and infrastructure

  • Enhance overall performance and user/customer experience

5. Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and compliance with GDPR, FCA, and relevant industry standards

  • Manage risk and safeguard critical data and systems
