We are on the look out for a Full-Stack PHP Developer to join the team.
This is an analyst developer role on the ACE360 apprenticeship management system. The role includes design, development, documentation and support of the ACE360 system. The technical skills required include PHP, Laravel, Vue.js & MySQL. Good web design skills would be advantageous.
Main Responsibilities:
- Reports to Product Manager or nominated Team Leader
- Design and development of application software to meet customer requirements
- Business requirements analysis
- Production of supporting documentation where necessary
- Identifying and fixing reported software issues
- Escalating problems to Product Manager or Team Leader where appropriate
- Provide advice on technical approaches and feasibility
- Provide estimates for work
- May be called upon to supervise, train and mentor other developers
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- A software development track record that includes PHP, Laravel and MySQL
- Strong knowledge of how to design, program, implement, and maintain single-page, API-driven JavaScript web application
- Experience of working with Vue.js would be very valuable
- Linux system administration Ubuntu/Debian and working with Docker containers would be very valuable
- Experience of agile development, SCRUM and systems like Jira would also be welcome
- Web design skills - the ability to turn customer requirements into simple functional designs

- Customer facing skills - ability to explain technical issues and understand the background to customer requirements
- Clear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
