Our client who are leaders in revolutionary diagnostic led care solutions are going through a huge expansion in the manufacture of their life saving medical devices. They are looking for an Electronic Design Manager to join their facility based in Thurleigh, Cambridgeshire.

As The Electronics Design Manager you will be responsible for leading the electronics engineering team in the design, implementation and verification of our client's IVD instrumentation platform hardware. You will work on multiple projects, creating robust characterisation test methods & provide innovative & robust design solutions to identified problem / high risk design areas. You will manage and develop teams across multiple sites and ensure the teams are motivated to reach their full potential & developing the teams skills including career progression & development plans. You will have a highly technical mindset. To be successful in this role you must be a highly motivated individual that can demonstrate flexibility and a can-do attitude. You should ensure positive, productive and proactive relationships with a range of internal and external key stakeholders.

Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or similar.
  • Product design and development experience of complex embedded systems.
  • Experience building and scaling electronics design teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronics engineering, both tools and processes.
  • Sound decision making and risk analysis skills on electronics hardware.
  • Experience with schematic and PCB layout design packages.
  • Experience with electronics simulation packages.
  • Experience in analogue, digital, EMC/ESD and RF design.
  • Experience working with C/C++ or any other modern programming language.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards including EN60601, EN61010, ISO13485 and ISO14971.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly to upper management and other stakeholders.
