Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to continue our partnership with International Beveridge in the search for a Distilleries Project Engineer – a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in shaping and delivering CapEx projects across a prestige portfolio of distilleries.

This role isn’t just about delivering projects; it’s about being a guiding light for engineering standards, driving a strong safety culture, and ensuring every project leaves a lasting impact on operations. From defining technical specifications to engaging stakeholders and influencing long-term investment planning, you’ll be central to delivering projects that improve performance across multiple sites.

About the Role

The Distilleries Project Engineer will:

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of CapEx projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and to budget.

  • Define, design, and deliver projects that meet regulatory requirements and internal standards.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to align projects with future CapEx planning and wider business strategies.

  • Provide technical engineering expertise across all phases of project design, execution, and handover.

  • Identify risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and keep stakeholders informed throughout.

  • Ensure a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality, embedding high standards across every project.

  • Develop post-project reports to demonstrate impact and support continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.

  • 3+ years’ experience in project engineering or managing technical engineering projects.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles – scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail.

  • Collaborative mindset, with proven ability to bring stakeholders on the journey of change.

  • Confidence in leading contractors and teams to deliver safe, successful project outcomes.

  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or willingness to work towards PPQ.

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

  • Experience in distilling, FMCG, or process industries.
