Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be continuing our partnership with International Beveridge in their search for a Distilleries Maintenance Lead, a pivotal role that will drive a strong safety culture while ensuring the delivery of world-class maintenance standards across their distillery estate.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping the future of International Beveridge' multi-site operations by developing and delivering effective maintenance strategies, ensuring asset reliability, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
About the Role
The Distilleries Maintenance Lead will:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance activity across multiple distilleries, ensuring asset reliability and availability.
- Drive the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) alongside reactive breakdown response, all captured within the MMS to build data for long-term improvements.
- Work with multi-site stakeholders to forecast R&M and CapEx budgets, aligning with wider business strategies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory inspections, quality, and regulatory standards, returning assets safely and efficiently to production.
- Optimise distillery performance through effective planning, resource management, and collaboration.
- Champion a strong safety culture, embedding standards across all operations.
The Scope
- Responsibility for the full lifecycle of maintenance and facilities management across a number of production sites.
- Ensuring budgets, compliance, and inspection regimes are met.
- Supervising contractors and resources while building collaborative relationships across functions.
- Driving sustainability through utility consumption monitoring and efficiency reviews.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong maintenance management or technical leadership experience, ideally within FMCG, distilling, or manufacturing.
- Strong experience with MMS systems and using data to influence decisions.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting principles.
- A collaborative approach with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
- Proven ability to drive safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering OR Time served Mech/Elec Engineer with Maintenance Background (or equivalent hands-on experience) - preferred
