A newly created opportunity for a junior or graduated digital marketing professional has arisen with an established marketing team in the manufacturing industry. This digital-centric role is perfect for anyone that is in the early stages of their Marketing journey is looking to gain commercial experience and build the necessary marketing skills that lays the groundwork for a successful career in the industry. 

The role would see you supporting on the high turnover website, contributing to areas like SEO and content, advising on best practice for digital and social media platforms as well as contributing to the content produced through various channels. This is a UK based organisation that specialises in packaging, strapping, pallet wrapping and packaging machinery across a number of industries.

About the Role:

This is a role that will see you contributing to the busy marketing function, supporting the Marketing and Sales team to strategize, carry out and assess marketing activities throughout the company.  This would involve assisting with the entire process, planning marketing activities, writing copy, creating content, keeping on top of website updates, creating graphics and overseeing the social media posts and monitoring.

In this role you will report directly to the Sales and Marketing Director and have one other marketeer for support. In this role, you will be given support but will also be expected to operate autonomously and own your area. The marketing team is set to go through a period of growth, making this the perfect time to join the team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Keeping up with industry trends in order to advise on content strategy for digital and social media platforms.
  • Providing content updates for the company’s website.
  • Providing advice on SEO keywords in line with competitor ad market analysis.
  • Creating and posting engaging content across the established digital channels, including video production, buying guides (blogs) as well as the company website and social media.
  • Taking charge of your own training, completing relevant courses, and developing your digital marketing skills.
  • Creating graphics for the various digital channels using photoshop and other graphic design software.
  • Contributing to team discussions surrounding campaign ideas and assisting with campaign creation.
  • Keeping on top of SEO and PPC analytics, as well as other marketing activity including google analytics and Google ads metrics.
  • Regularly updating the CMS.
  • Staying knowledgeable on the packaging range and products.
  • Assisting in other administrative tasks when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Marketing, Digital, Business or Communications professional qualification.
  • Passion and understanding of digital marketing techniques including PPC, SEO and social media advertising.
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop or similar graphic design software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience using CMS systems.
  • Strong verbal communication, writing and editing experience in a professional setting.
  • Time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • An enthusiastic, proactive approach.
  •  The ability to work well in a team as well as working to your own initiative.
  • Attention to detail.
