You will be a key member or an agile team and you will be supporting our DevOps proposition in , creating solutions and using your problem solving skills to overcome engineering challenges.
You will manage deployment frequency, operational monitoring, infrastructure security to improve transparency and reliability, efficiency and maintainability of the software delivery cycle.

Technical Requirements:
- Experience in Azure and PowerShell is essential
You’ll be:
- Developing, planning and implementing environments for different stages of the delivery life cycle
- Developing, planning and implementing release management to support continuous integration and continuous deployment
- Monitoring and managing appropriate access levels to various environments, ensuring a restrictive security model for access to the environments
- Controlling cloud infrastructure; providing scriptable means to create, tear down and recreate environments
- Controlling gated release mechanism
- Implementing health monitoring and alerting; ensuring health alerts are managed and dealt with
- Creating scripts to provide temporary environments for the various delivery teams
- Managing environmental configuration settings
- Providing environmental support to delivery teams to maximise efficiency
We are looking for:
Knowledge
- Understanding of a cloud based, micro service infrastructure
Skills
- A passion for and ability to keep abreast of new and emerging technologies as well as new methodologies and design patterns
- The ability to build and articulate a business case to propose new solutions to the organisation
- Proven capability to clearly articulate ideas to target audience
- Proficiency in monitoring and managing various environments within a defined budget set by senior management
- Problem solving skills
Experience
- Extensive experience developing within an industry standard Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool (we use Microsoft TFS) with strong, current development experience in a cloud based, micro service infrastructure.
- Proven experience in the management of a RBDMS/NoSQL infrastructure and current experience integrating DevOps in to a CI/CD infrastructure
- Proven experience in championing new and emerging technologies where appropriate (e.g. Docker)
- Experience on Azure is essential
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef
- Shell scripting is essential, PowerShell preferred
