9-20 have a long-standing relationship with a leading niche provider of intellectual property (‘IP’) consultancy services. This business has ambitious growth plans, with offices in the UK and the US and are now keen to add to their Glasgow operation with the appointment of experienced IP Analyst that will take a lead role in the delivery of client engagements. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to fast track their career within a firm operating successfully in a growing space.

 

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing IP Advisory assignments including IP Audits, IP Management advice and IP Commercialisation advice.
  • Leading client information discovery calls and on-site days.
  • Creating and overseeing the delivery of comprehensive, high-quality client reports and analysis.
  • Identifying and analysing critical IP assets, including associated commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Understanding the IP assets in the context of the business and the market in which it operates.
  • Researching potential market and commercialisation opportunities in respect of the IP assets.
  • Creating robust and comprehensive reports which highlight critical IP assets and provide recommendations on their management and protection.
  • Running IP management workshops for clients.
  • Managing the development of client engagements.

 

About You

The successful candidate will likely have the following experience / skills:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Capable of multitasking and managing multiple client assignments.
  • Capable and enthusiastic about taking initiative and learning new skills and processes quickly.
  • Be highly professional in all corporate communications.
  • Have business experience and good commercial awareness.
  • Have experience in managing individuals, processes or projects.
  • Be a results-oriented individual who wants to make a difference, takes initiative, and has a sense of urgency.
  • Have a can-do attitude and take pride in their work.
  • An understanding of intellectual property and business strategy would be beneficial.
  • Degree level ideally BSc. or B.A ideally within a technical / science field or Accountancy, Financial Services or Law and any exposure or specialisation within IP would be advantageous.
