Software Tester
Up to £36,000
Glasgow – Hybrid &Flexible Working. Must be based within commutable distance to Glasgow.
A Software Tester role has been created for a long-term client, a software service provider whose main client is the NHS. Due to ongoing growth and new products on the horizon, they are looking for an experienced Tester to join the well-established development team of 6.
You will be working alongside the Technical Director and their existing developers to expand the portfolio of products available and will be given the opportunity to design and implement new processes to streamline the testing process.

The Role:
Due to a period of growth and several key projects, they are looking to augment the in-house development team with a skilled Software Tester who has a minimum of two years of relevant industry experience.
As a Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and robustness of a suite of products and will be involved at all stages of the development lifecycle working closely with key teams throughout the organisation. You will have a primary focus on manual testing, however, a keen interest in and appetite to develop automated testing skills is essential.
You will be a key member of the software development team and will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing the most appropriate testing strategies for our products.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance of the product suite
- Proactively contribute to product design
- Identification of the most appropriate testing methods and tools
- Development of testing strategies
- Documentation and execution of tests
- Defect documentation, reporting and tracking
- Communicate and work with multiple teams and individuals
- Champion and lead testing processes across the organisation
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a software testing role
- Strong manual testing experience
- Interest in and knowledge of automated testing and a willingness to develop these skills
- Experience with testing across multiple platforms and form factors (desktop, web, mobile)
- Good knowledge of and experience with testing tools, methods and technologies
- Experience in developing testing strategies
- Experience in building testing environments
- Experience testing products under varying customer configurations
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritise across multiple projects
