Location: Hybrid/2 days in Glasgow Office with UK-wide travel

 

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are supporting SmartSTEMs in their next phase of growth and they are recruiting a Programme Associate to join their busy and fast paced team.

 About the Role

As Programme Associate, you will play a vital part in delivering their growing calendar of SmartSTEMs events and projects. From helping coordinate logistics to supporting partners and volunteers, you’ll be on the ground making things happen and making a difference.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or looking to move into the education, events, or charity sector, who’s passionate about equity and youth opportunity.


 Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of SmartSTEMs events, workshops, and programmes
  • Liaise with schools, universities, venues, and industry partners to coordinate logistics
  • Help with volunteer coordination and communication
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating programme impact
  • Represent SmartSTEMs at events, providing a welcoming and professional presence
  • Provide general administrative and communications support to the Programme team

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • Flexible and solution-focused, with a can-do attitude
  • Passionate about inclusion, inspiring the next generation , and making STEM accessible
  • Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and basic project tools

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting events or education programmes
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with the STEM or third sector
