Customer Service Assistant

Kirkcaldy – Full Time Position

As the organization broadens its national presence, there's a natural expansion of the team, creating new opportunities within the business. The current role coincides with the move into a new custom-built facility in Kirkcaldy—a significant step in the first of many exciting ventures planned for this year.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process customer orders at the counter, handling both cash and card transactions.
  • Assist customers in loading their orders onto vehicles.
  • Restock shelves and organize incoming stock.
  • Conduct stock counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Manage stock arrangement within the yard, ensuring a tidy workspace.
  • Handle inbound phone calls and provide prompt assistance to customer queries.
  • Efficiently raise quotes for customers.
  • Follow up on quotes during quieter periods.
  • Learn and engage in forklift driving with provided training.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate commercial experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
  • Showcase strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Exhibit adaptability, swiftly gaining a clear understanding of various products.
  • Possess outstanding customer service, fostering lasting relationships with key customers.
  • Display agility in ensuring minimal wait times and a seamless in-store experience for customers.
  • Proficient in swiftly learning and utilizing various systems.

Position Details:

  • Full-time role located in Kirkcaldy.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a lunch break.
  • Enjoy 30 days of annual leave along with a statutory pension.
