Are you an experienced AWS Architect who thrives on helping organisations move from traditional data centres into the cloud?
We're partnering with a growing cloud consultancy that is delivering large-scale AWS transformation programmes for enterprise customers across the UK. As demand continues to increase, they're looking for a senior AWS Architect to lead complex migration projects, support business growth, and play a key role in shaping the future of their cloud practice.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a blend of hands-on architecture, customer engagement, technical leadership, and strategic consulting.
The Opportunity
You'll work directly with customers to design and deliver cloud transformation programmes, helping organisations modernise legacy infrastructure and successfully migrate from VMware and on-premise environments into AWS.
The role extends beyond technical delivery. You'll also support pre-sales engagements, contribute to solution design, mentor colleagues, and help build a growing team of cloud professionals.
This position would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading projects from discovery through to delivery, and becoming a trusted advisor to both customers and internal stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading AWS migration and modernisation programmes.
- Designing secure, scalable, and resilient AWS solutions.
- Helping customers develop cloud strategies and migration roadmaps.
- Driving VMware-to-AWS transformation initiatives.
- Acting as the senior technical lead across customer engagements.
- Facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Supporting pre-sales activities, solution design, and technical proposals.
- Mentoring engineers and consultants within the wider cloud team.
- Contributing to the growth and development of the AWS practice.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience as an AWS Architect within enterprise or consultancy environments.
- Proven track record delivering cloud migration and transformation projects.
- Extensive VMware expertise and experience helping organisations exit traditional data centre environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture best practices.
- Experience leading customer-facing projects and managing technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical delivery and commercial conversations.
Nice to Have
- AWS Professional certifications.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Exposure to cloud governance, security, and FinOps.
- Previous experience within an AWS Partner or consultancy environment.
- Experience helping build or grow technical teams.
