Nine Twenty are proud to be partnering with our Spirits Manufacturing client in their need for a Technical Training Manager. You will be joining a business who has been going through a significant period of change & culture transformation who have invested heavily in their continuous improvement and recruitments strategies whilst strongly focusing on staff training, development and progression. As the Technical Training Manager reporting directly to Head of HR your job will be to lead the full training cycle for their employees. You will implement gold standard SOP's throughout the business. You will ensure the business values are embedded throughout the documentation and delivery methods. You will have key internal relationships with Production, Quality, Spirit & Warehousing. 

You will be responsible for identifying training needs, developing educational curricula and materials while increasing trainees engagement with learning sessions.

Responsibilities are but not limited to: 

  • Conducting skills gap analysis 
  • Reviewing training SOP's and training materials 
  • Ensuring the business has a 1st class induction programmes
  • Liaise with industry experts and organize workshops and training while balancing the needs of the business 
  • Organising external visits to distilleries to support education of the industry 
  • Identifying how training is tracked and ensuring the system requirements match the business needs 
  • Work with business managers to measure improvements in employee's job performance on a regular basis 
  • Gather feedback from trainees, managers & customers and recommend suggestions to the learning process

Skills required: 

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Training Manager, /Lead, Technical Trainer, or similar role
  • Preferable experience within a production/manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques
  • Excellent communication skills are a must with the ability to explain technical terms using simple language
  • Flexibility to support shifts as an when required
  • Strong relationship skills in order to influence and ensure a skilled workforce is front and centre
