This is a new client to Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing. They are a manufacturing business who are well established but are now undergoing investment and are starting on a transformation journey.
These are newly created roles for experienced shift leaders to ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the various production departments through effective processes and strategies.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Effectively and efficiently manage production in line with customer specifications and demand, to meet all quality and delivery expectations, minimising costs where possible and ensuring the required best working practices are consistently maintained.
- Accountable for continuous improvements in all areas of production, using appropriate data analysis to support of organizational goals and objectives.
- Responsible for assurance standards across Safety, Health and Environment and, Quality.
- Lead, motivate and manage immediate team, delegating tasks and accountabilities as appropriate to ensure the most efficient and effective use of skills and resources.
- Ensure that continuous training and development of all personnel within scope of responsibility is undertaken to ensure effective performance and productivity.
- Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
- Responsible for ensuring good communication both within and between production teams and wider internal stakeholders with the objective of building strong working relationships.
- Liaison with senior management team; assisting in the development of strategic plans for operational activity and taking responsibility for their implementation and management.
- Monitor and control KPIs to achieve business, financial and service targets
- Ensure labour is effectively allocated to ensure lowest cost solution always
