We are currently seeking a driven Project Engineer to join our clients Plant in Dunbar. As a Project Engineer, you will take charge of overseeing and ensuring the success of multiple capital projects spanning various engineering disciplines within the plant. You will be responsible for managing projects using established templates, meticulously controlling schedules, costs, and the quality of deliverables. Collaboration with management, staff, and contractors will be crucial, with clear communication of project objectives to all stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with the project team to refine and enhance project management processes and procedures.

Ideally the successful candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in a manufacturing or heavy industry setting. Key qualifications and skills include:

  • A bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or equivalent
  • Desirable certifications such as PMI, APM, or Prince2
  • Technical expertise and practical knowledge of UK legislation pertaining to engineering projects
  • Experience in directly managing project KPIs and delivering results
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Operational and maintenance knowledge within a cement plant or similar heavy industrial environment
  • Exceptional planning and scheduling skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
