Nine Twenty are excited to be working with our innovative and rapidly expanding manufacturing client on their search for a Process Safety Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities, including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessment and hazardous area classification
- Provide support and guidance for all other functions (at all levels), to continually develop Process Safety awareness and performance
- Advise and support on process safety matters and participate as required with the planning of projects, conducting internal reviews in order to assess risks, processes and controls, to identify opportunities for improvement in line with relevant process safety requirements.
- Key member of Management of Change Authorisation team, to ensure that process safety implications are controlled within a project.
- Responsible to approve contractor suitability to operate on site, then authorise RAMS prior to commencement of activities.
- Coordinate internal projects ensuring each is fully compliant in all areas of process safety.
- Lead process safety related incident investigations.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Graduate, preferably within Engineering speciality
- A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent safety experience
- Experience delivering Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessment and hazardous area classification.
- Experience with COMAH is desirable.
