An excellent opportunity to join a Global manufacturing organisation in their Distilling projects team to be based in Speyside area to cover a range of exciting projects across various sites in the area. 

You will work as part of a small multi-disciplined team where you will be responsible for managing your projects from cradle to grave. The projects are wide and varied from expansion of sites, new builds to working on sustainability projects. 

The client is seeking someone with experience in managing projects in a process manufacture environment who can build relationships and work to deadlines. Someone who understands the importance of compliance and can use various tools and methodologies when approaching projects. You should be Degree qualified and if you have NEBOSH then it would be an advantage. 

This role involves travel so will come with a van and candidates must be willing to flex on their locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of capital projects, across multiple sites
  • Involved in up to 20 projects at a time, from minor building upgrades through to major multi-million pound strategic developments
  • Act as project lead for some multi-disciplinary projects, team member for others
  • Work with production and engineering team colleagues to develop project proposals and capital plans
  • Ensure all projects are managed safely and that designs are fully risk-assessed prior to implementation
  • Carry out site visits to inspect quality of work and compare physical progress of works against issued programmes
  • Effectively deal with site issues and client queries promptly to ensure no/minimal delay to the works
  • Ensure all projects are handed over to operations with all the necessary drawings, manuals, certificates, and other documentation required for maintenance, operations, and compliance
  • Generate project cost estimates, secure project approvals, and ensure project funds are accurately managed

Skills Required:

  • Come from a process industry or engineering consultancy background
  • Bring strong technical knowledge and experience of capital projects in spirits, food or other similar process industries 
  • Are degree qualified or are time served in a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Can work within a multi-discipline team
  • Are a strong problem solver and decision maker
  • Have experience in budget management
