Dayshift Maintenance Engineer
Glasgow
An opportunity to join an FMCG manufacturing organisation in their engineering department to focus on maintenance and repair of fast paced equipment. This is a dayshift position and they are looking for someone who has experience in fabrication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide line support
- Carry out reactive maintenance and corrective maintenance as required
- Support changeovers in areas where engineering expertise is needed
- Carry out asset care tasks on production equipment
- Drive Continuous Improvement through identify line improvement projects
- Support the BRC compliance activities
Experience required:
- Time-served Engineer with a recognised trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Detailed engineering knowledge of equipment used in services, filling, packing, and palletisation.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
- Understanding of the contribution Engineering can make to the achievement of Manufacturing KPIs.
- Working knowledge of best practice asset care principles.
- Strong fault-finding experience.
- Experience in performing changeovers.
- Experience working within time-critical production.
- FMCG experience would be desirable.
To be successful you should be time served in an engineering discipline and be comfortable working on a variety of equipment alone or as part of a team. You should be passionate about engineering and looking at ways to improve.
