Our client is seeking experienced time served maintenance engineers to join their fast paced maintenance team in Ayrshire. The company manufactures products for Global markets and are investing on their site. They are moving maintenance strategy to be more proactive so are seeking passionate engineers who want to look after the assets on site and find ways of ensuring optimum performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- To optimize the effectiveness of the machinery with regards to quick fault finding and rectifying problems.
- To carry out a schedule of preventative maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment.
- Understand the operation of plant and machines, knowledge of the function, composition, and procedure of the production equipment.
- Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring quality e.g., measuring and testing according to plan, fault recording, supervision of gauges, etc.
- To ensure daily entries are recorded in Agility for the handing over of information to next shift.
- Give commitment to overtime working and flexibility to ensure workloads are complete before leaving shift and to offer full support to maintenance colleagues and play an active role as a team member within the department.
- Actively participate in the development of apprentices / trainees, where required.
This role works over Monday to Friday on a day/back rotation with early finish on Friday backshifts. They offer a good basic salary and shift allowance and the opportunity to earn more through enhanced overtime.
