Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in logistics? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a passion for maintaining efficient supply chain operations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Logistics Technician on the enchanting Isle of Skye.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handle intake, sampling, and processing of all raw materials in dry and liquid forms for both bulk and bag deliveries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filling of materials to maintain continuous production line operations.
  • Process, store, and load finished product bags efficiently to various vessels and vehicles to meet order requirements.
  • Cover all operational tasks within the supply chain to maintain a safe, efficient, and positive working environment.

Main Tasks:

  • Enforce compliance with HSE regulations and PPE usage for all personnel on-site, including visitors and vessel crew.
  • Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safety in all working areas and equipment.
  • Prioritise tasks for each shift and coordinate duties.
  • Perform daily checks on forklifts and other machinery, report any issues, and ensure proper maintenance.
  • Assist vessels with mooring on arrival and departure from the pier.
  • Unload dry raw materials in bulk and bags from various vessels and vehicles, adhering to proper paperwork, information, and system setup.
  • Take samples and conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials according to QA procedures.
  • Prepare systems, paperwork, and connections for oil vessels, monitor discharge, and clear lines upon completion.
  • Safely move and store raw material and finished product bags in appropriate warehouse areas, complying with QA rules and regulations.
  • Manage stock inventories, report any issues, and conduct regular stock takes for both raw materials and finished products.
  • Bag out feed from production and finished product silos.
  • Fill bagged raw materials into correct dosing silos using a scanning system and following procedures.
  • Load finished product bags onto a variety of vessels and trucks as instructed.
  • Provide training for new employees.
  • Contribute to the development of logistics routines, processes, and systems.
  • Support colleagues across different departments and complete tasks as necessary to cover all areas of the supply chain.

Personal Requirements:

  • Experience in a logistics role is advantageous.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills with the ability to record and report data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Leadership skills to motivate colleagues and create a positive working environment.
  • Enthusiastic individual with a focus on attention to detail.
