Engineering Planner/Stores Co-ordinator

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading FMCG company to find an experienced Engineering Planner to join their team in West Lothian.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end planning and scheduling of preventive, planned and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring work is optimised, prioritised and scheduled at least one week in advance where practicable
  • Develop maintain and continuously improve high quality maintenance plans, including accurate labour, materials, tooling, permits and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain a credible, achievable weekly maintenance schedule aligned with the site priorities, labour availability and operational constraints
  • Lead the weekly scheduling process ensuring clear communication, challenge commitment from engineering, operations and key stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate complete and reliable CMMS (CARL) data, including work orders, task lists asset care plans, BOM’s and maintenance history.
  • Act as the CARL super or key user for the site supporting standard ways of working, system compliance and UK CARL team member.
  • Monitor maintenance compliance through agreed KPI’s, using data to improve schedule compliance, reduce downtime and support effective decision making.
  • Ensure that all Glen Turner maintenance activities comply with health safety and environmental standards, embedding safety into all work planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes, challenging inefficiencies and supporting RCA analysis and improvement activities.

 

Requirements

  • FMCG Manufacturing environment experience (not essential), preferably in same industry sector
  • Previous experience of operating a CMMS system
  • Experience raising and managing purchase orders. 
  • Have a strong background in administration / co-ordination.
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
