ECI Engineer (Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation)

Are you an experienced ECI Engineer looking for a dynamic opportunity in a 24/7 continuous process manufacturing plant? Look no further! We are seeking a talented and hands-on ECI Engineer to join our clients team on the stunning Isle of Skye. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and optimisation of their fully automated facility, operated by SCADA systems and PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems in a 24/7 continuous process manufacturing plant.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on SCADA systems, PLCs, electrical panels, and instrumentation devices to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment and systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment performance, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Act as a technical resource for site personnel, providing training and guidance on ECI systems and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as an ECI Engineer 
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, PLC programming, and instrumentation calibration.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and control systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
