Job Title: Dynamics AX Consultant
Location: Kingston (Hybrid)
Contract: Contract
Industry: ERP / IT / Systems Migration

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics AX Consultant to support and guide a London, Kingston-based retail business through a critical transitional phase. The company is in the process of migrating off its legacy Dynamics AX ERP system to a multi-point middleware platform.

The current environment is complex, under strain, and in need of an expert who can hit the ground running, unpick problematic integrations, and help the team identify and resolve the blockers causing delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current AX ERP ecosystem, identifying what's working, what isn't, and where integrations are failing.
  • Unravel complex middleware integrations, clarifying how various systems are linked and where bottlenecks exist.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in stabilising the AX environment as a foundation for migration.
  • Enable and support the migration off AX by guiding strategy, planning, and remediation efforts.
  • Work directly with the internal team to put the infrastructure together from an AX point of view.
  • Provide recommendations, warnings, and solutions to ensure smoother migration paths.
  • Act as a troubleshooter and subject matter expert for Dynamics AX and data integrations.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Dynamics AX Consultant, ideally with exposure to SAP and complex system environments.
  • Strong understanding of ERP integrations, middleware systems, and associated pain points.
  • Demonstrated success in previous AX migrations (to or from), with real-world examples/case studies.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose system issues, recommend remediation strategies, and articulate risks and dependencies.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with a stakeholders and small, overextended team.
