Distillery Manager

Help Shape the Next Chapter of Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond Group believes whisky is more than just a spirit — it’s a story, a craft, and a legacy. Their award-winning whiskies and gins are enjoyed in over 100 countries, from the fairways of The Open Championship to homes around the world.

At the heart of it all is their distillery in Alexandria. It’s a truly special place — the only site in Scotland where malt and grain spirit are crafted side by side, using pot stills and continuous stills under one roof. It’s where tradition meets innovation, and where passion and precision come together every day.

With their long-serving Distillery Manager set to retire in 2026 after 30 years of service, they are now looking for the next leader to carry the torch.

The Role

The Distillery Manager will take the helm of daily operations — from grain and malt arriving on site to new-make spirit flowing from the stills. But this isn’t just about running a distillery. It’s about leading people, setting a vision, and helping the business push forward while respecting the craft that makes Scotch whisky so special.

The role is central to the site leadership team, working closely with colleagues across engineering, warehousing, blending, and procurement. It also plays a key part in shaping Loch Lomond Group’s long-term distilling strategy.

About You

They’re looking for someone who is as comfortable talking tradition as they are driving change. Someone who knows how to get the best from a team, solve problems under pressure, and spot opportunities to do things better.

If you have:

  • A background in brewing, distilling, or managing large-scale production,
  • A passion for leading people and helping them grow,
  • A strong grasp of safety and compliance,
  • And the energy to guide a distillery into its next chapter…

…then this could be the role for you.

Why This Role?

This is more than a job. It’s a chance to take on one of the most unique distilleries in Scotland, to lead with pride, and to leave your mark on a business whose spirits are recognised worldwide. You’d be stepping into a role with history — but also with the freedom to shape the future.
