Digital Marketing Manager - Demand Generation - Glasgow

Digital Marketing Manager – Demand Generation
Glasgow City Centre (4 days per week in-office)
£45,000–£50,000

About the job

This is a genuinely high-ownership role within a UK-wide retailer going through a significant digital growth phase. You won’t be maintaining campaigns, you’ll be building and running the full demand engine. With a new website launching and HubSpot being rebuilt, the business is investing in a more modern, predictable approach to pipeline generation. You’ll own digital demand end-to-end: targeting, journeys, paid performance, SEO, CRO, reporting and optimisation. The expectation isn’t activity, it’s outcomes. Better lead quality, clearer attribution, stronger conversion and a more reliable flow of opportunities into Sales.

Day to day, you’ll build multi-touch acquisition journeys across different audiences, run and optimise paid search (primarily Google Ads, plus LinkedIn and paid social where appropriate), strengthen SEO foundations, improve landing page performance and ensure everything is measurable. You’ll use HubSpot to track enquiries through to outcome, support lead scoring and tighten the handover between Marketing and Sales.

About the company

You’ll be joining a well-established UK-wide retailer with decades of operational expertise and a strong national footprint. The business works with brands, partners and commercial clients to deliver activity at scale. They’re now in a growth and modernisation phase, investing heavily in digital transformation to scale demand, improve visibility and create more predictable commercial performance. Marketing is increasingly seen as a growth driver, not a support function, and this role sits at the centre of that shift.

About you

You’ll bring proven B2B demand generation experience, with clear evidence of pipeline impact rather than just campaign delivery. Strong working knowledge of HubSpot is essential, particularly automation, reporting and campaign tracking. You’ll be confident across Google Ads and SEO, comfortable improving conversion rates through landing page and funnel optimisation, and capable of running an end-to-end performance system — targeting, testing, budgeting, reporting and refining.

This role needs someone self-sufficient and commercially minded. You’re comfortable working without heavy agency support, you prioritise what drives pipeline quality, and you have a continuous improvement mindset. Experience in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment such as services, retail, marketplaces or similar would be advantageous.
