Data Analyst/ Scientist

Job Description: As a Data Analyst at Incentive Games, you will play a crucial role in our data team, working alongside our Head of Data, Data Scientist, and Data Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to analyse gaming data to enhance user retention and engagement while making our games more efficient and cost-effective. Here are the key aspects of the role:

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse gaming data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive user retention and engagement.
  2. Develop and maintain dashboards using Amazon QuickSight to provide real-time insights to key stakeholders.
  3. Conduct ad-hoc analysis tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
  4. Collaborate with the product team to optimize game design and cost-benefit analysis.
  5. Utilize probabilities and modelling techniques to predict game costs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  6. Interface with clients to explain data-driven insights, leveraging your client-facing skills.
  7. Work with the data engineering team using tools like PostgreSQL, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, Athena, and QuickSight.
  8. Collaborate closely with non-technical stakeholders, including clients, product teams, and developers, to drive data-informed decision-making.
  9. Actively contribute to our small but growing data team, with opportunities for ownership and growth within the company.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst/Scientist.
  • Proficiency in Python and Pandas for data analysis.
  • Experience with PySpark for big data processing and analysis.
  • AWS knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills, particularly in probability and modelling.
  • SQL proficiency for data extraction, querying, and analysis.
  • Adept in data visualization tools like QuickSight or similar tools to create insightful dashboards.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) for code management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with client-facing interactions is highly beneficial.
  • Coaching skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior members of the data team.
  •  Experience in the iGaming/gambling industry is valuable.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
