Role: Content Executive (Sports & Betting)

Contract: Permanent/Full Time 

Location: Remote / UK  (Offices based in Edinburgh)

Salary: Up to £33,000

 

Nine Twenty Recruitment are working with one of the biggest sports betting social publishers in the UK and Brazil with an audience approaching 5,000,000 sports betting fans. Their mission is to create the safest, most powerful and engaging sports betting communities and websites in the world.

Following year-on-year growth since 2014, they’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Content Executive to join their team of social media experts, marketing professionals and product developers.

The Role 

They are looking for driven and motivated Content Executive to join the team and

contribute to their growing sports betting and football content. This is a great opportunity for anyone that has a passion for sports/betting and is looking to join a growing business expanding into global markets.  

The role focuses on web content writing, editing/proofreading and SEO.  If you enjoy creating the best-in-class sports betting content, this is the perfect role for you. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Review, edit, and create sports betting content within Wordpress.
  • Spearhead the development of fresh and engaging sports betting content, catering to both long-term relevance and commercial viability.
  • Craft SEO-focused copy to enhance online visibility.
  • Regularly enhance on-page SEO elements for both new and existing content.
  • Utilise tools like Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Google Analytics to analyse content performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with freelancers to assign and organise content in advance.
  • Generate innovative ideas for both evergreen and commercial content and execute them effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with a dynamic and proficient team.

 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record in writing and editing, especially in sports or betting content.
  • Skilled in on-page SEO and crafting web content for both search engines and users.
  • Ability to work independently, generating impactful ideas and being proactive.
  • Proficient in sports research, particularly in football and darts. NBA, NFL, or horse racing is desirable.
  • Strong focus on detail, conscientiousness, and maintaining high standards.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress.
  • Capable of generating creative concepts and taking initiative to contribute effectively.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
