We're seeking a dedicated Assistant Distillery Manager to join our client, InchDairnie Distillery, at their innovative and unique facility in the heart of Fife.

InchDairnie Distillery is renowned for its innovative approach to whisky production. Founded in 2015, InchDairnie combines traditional methods with cutting-edge technology to create unique and high-quality single malt whiskies. The distillery is committed to sustainability, using locally sourced ingredients and implementing eco-friendly practices throughout their production process.

The Role:

As the Assistant Distillery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our clients distillery, working closely with the Distillery Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of production, from raw material intake to spirit distillation and maturation.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of production plans, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Managing a team of skilled distillers and production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise performance.
  • Monitoring and maintaining equipment, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing preventive maintenance measures.
  • Collaborating with the quality control team to conduct regular sensory evaluations and quality checks, ensuring consistency and excellence in our products.
  • Upholding health and safety standards throughout the distillery, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.

Experience required:

  • Ideally Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Brewing & Distilling, or related field
  • Proven experience within either Process Plant or Distilling Environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
