We're seeking a dedicated Assistant Distillery Manager to join our clients team at their innovative and unique distillery in the Heart of Fife.
The Role:
As the Assistant Distillery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our clients distillery, working closely with the Distillery Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all aspects of production, from raw material intake to spirit distillation and maturation.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of production plans, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Managing a team of skilled distillers and production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimise performance.
- Monitoring and maintaining equipment, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing preventive maintenance measures.
- Collaborating with the quality control team to conduct regular sensory evaluations and quality checks, ensuring consistency and excellence in our products.
- Upholding health and safety standards throughout the distillery, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
Experience required:
- Ideally Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Brewing & Distilling, or related field
- Proven experience within either Process Plant or Distilling Environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process optimisation and continuous improvement
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
