Q1 Wrap Up with Gordon Brown, Founder of Nine Twenty Recruitment

Q1 Wrap Up with Gordon Brown, Founder of Nine Twenty Recruitment

Aaron Snoodnine twenty recruitment, Wrap Up

As we now settle into Q2, I was lucky enough to spend a week out in our favourite family holiday destination, Mojacar, which is on the southeast coast of Spain. I had been looking forward to 2 weeks of School holidays in the sun, however my daughter Ruby very gingerly told me that she would rather have a week at home with her pals and a week in Spain... The reality of her growing up hadn't quite reached my brain but the week reminded us that some relaxation and Vitamin D together with precious family time is so important.

After finishing Q1 with a team lunch at Thundercat Glasgow we reflected on some great achievements within our Nine Twenty Group and to set some exciting objectives for Q2 including the never-ending quest to identify areas of improvement.

I'm not sure about you, but I have really cut back on watching and reading the mainstream news channels, if it's not continual political bickering or war Crimes, it's hard to seek out anything positive. We know things are tough out there, but I'm so proud and reassured by the quality and quantity of our delivery success over the past year and start of 2023 which will help us to build on a solid foundation and allow us to continue to deliver real value to our clients.

Nine Twenty Manufacturing & Engineering continue to demonstrate why they are the leading Recruiter within Scotland’s Drinks sector, as well as kicking off a series of "War on Talent" events with CEED Scotland!

Over in Nine Twenty Technology we have continued to build on our RPO offering by securing a 12 Month Exclusive Project with another International technology company. The team have created our new Nine Twenty Digital & Marketing Brand and launched "The Scottish Marketing Network" event this quarter.

Here at Nine Twenty we offer a very empowering and relaxed working from anywhere policy to all employees and I'm extremely proud of the maturity and trust of our team to consistently deliver within this environment. However, we had to think about how we can improve and evolve moving forward and provide a platform for our recruiters to remain comfortable with face-to-face meetings as a method of building the relationships which will serve the business well through the years ahead, especially for those who are new to the industry and need to learn from their peers. I'm very passionate about meeting clients, candidates, and colleagues to put a real face to a name, see the working environments and become masters of body language again! The recent increase in coffees, lunches and events is fantastic, and we need to ensure that everyone is comfortable that they are being fully supported in order to maximise performance and career aspirations.

Best wishes to all.
