As the dust settles on the first six months of 2021!... and after being in lockdown several times... Here at Nine Twenty we are taking a bit of time to reflect on what a monumental six months it has been for 2021, with some fantastic results from across the group!

Technology, Manufacturing & Engineering, Procurement & Supply chain have excelled.  We have had some fantastic new projects and client successes and we have continued to deliver first class recruitment solutions to all our sectors. The Senior Management Team have also spent this year to reflect and look at how we can improve the business whilst becoming a stronger organisation. We have invested time to investigate how we can develop our people, their capability and the next generation and future talent.  We always want to improve as an organisation, the last 18 months have taught us the importance of our staff, teams and workforce.

We are incredibly proud and thankful for everyone at Nine Twenty, and we are so proud to have such a loyal committed, dedicated team of employees that care not only for Nine Twenty but care for their candidates, customers and for each other.

Let’s be honest - everyone's saying the same thing. However, having been one of the first businesses in Scotland to adapt our working arrangements and adopt a work from anywhere policy, we felt it was time to look at how we can make sure we continue to push the boundaries and further invest in our people to ensure they are continually developing, learning, improving, whilst staying safe and motivated!

Nine Twenty’s new personal development plans have been well received, as well as establishing and implementing our new benefits package to the business. The objective is to provide employees with full accountability, flexibility and support to ensure that our staff have a long-term career plan that allows them to focus on their health and well-being and career aspirations.

We identified that employees are looking for a company that not only provides them with the tools and resources to do their job effectively, rewards their performance and achievements appropriately on an ongoing basis, but also considers the environment required to be successful, but also value an environment that makes them feel safe, valued, driven whilst operating in a non-stressful, supportive, professional work ethic environment.

We believe in commitment to our employees, and we are truly blessed to have some of the best people and talent who have ever worked at nine Twenty, it’s been a pleasure to witness them receive the success, rewards and provide them with opportunities that they deserve.

We have undertaken a complete overhaul on our training and people development processes, our approach to homeworking / flexible working and have also revised our performance bonuses /commissions resulting in a truly unique benefits platform for our employees.

Nine Twenty have established Private Healthcare through Vitality Healthcare, Pension options with The People’s Pension Scheme, Staff Treats enabling staff to receive various discounts from numerous vendors, a wellbeing App to look after the general and mental wellbeing of all our staff, not forgetting the Cycle to work Scheme encouraging employees to enjoy time outdoors.  Personal development and training funds have been established, allowing staff to further enhance their skill sets, knowledge, and qualifications to outline clear career development pathways, whilst providing life coaching. As a result, we feel we are a unique recruitment employer, and we are excited to talk about the next level of growth at Nine Twenty.

Nine Twenty have a very open communication and relaxed culture approach, our staff provide the foundations for success, and we enjoy coming together to reward them. That might mean quarterly drinks, a team BBQ, a surprise day away or a long weekend in Marbella!

As a business, we feel strongly about giving back to the community and therefore we work in collaboration with Schools, Universities and Charities on an ongoing basis.  We are proud to be part of the STEM Ambassador Programme which has life-changing impacts for young people, delivered by STEM professionals in classrooms and communities. We recently joined the Digital Technology Education Charter as well as The Tech Talent Charter and thoroughly enjoyed the Insp-Hire event in Glasgow, which educated young people and the future workforce about the new technological era.

It is also exciting and rewarding to hear the feedback from our candidates as well our customers, who are all really happy to be partnering with Nine Twenty. They experience the service our staff provide, and I take comfort from knowing our candidates and clients are in safe hands.  As a result of empowering our staff to reach their full potential we are able to meet the demands of our candidates and clients, delivering exceptional services and experiences as a result. We are looking forward to the second half of the year to witness the development, growth, and journeys of our staff.

As part of our continued growth plans for 2021, we aim to expand into new markets in England this year, it’s a very exciting time.  We are currently hiring for various roles across the business, and we would love to hear from you.
