As a specialist recruiter in Technology, Nine Twenty has signed up to the Tech Talent Charter as a pledge to support diverse hiring practices throughout the industry. As part of our ongoing commitment to a diverse workforce, we are very proud to become a Signatory of the Tech Talent Charter (TTC). The TTC is an employer-led initiative to encourage greater inclusion and diversity in the tech workforce of the UK.

By signing up to the TTC we’re pledging to do better to reflect the diversity of the population in our tech workforce, and to re-dress the gender balance in technology-related roles. A number of other government departments, as well as some of the biggest leaders in the tech industry, have also joined.

The Tech Talent Charter is a non-profit organisation leading a movement to address inequality in the UK tech sector and drive inclusion and diversity in a practical and uniquely measurable way.  Its ultimate goal is that the UK tech sector becomes truly inclusive and a reflection of the society which it represents.  There are now over 500 UK employers of tech involved with the TTC and working together to drive change.

TTC CEO Debbie Forster: “The importance of greater inclusion and diversity in tech is, thankfully, no longer up for debate. Sectors and organisations now need to work together to shift the dial – and this will happen a lot quicker if we pool our successes, failures, ideas and learn from them to bring about real structural change.”

As a TTC signatory, Nine Twenty will collaborate with the TTC and other signatory organisations to share feedback on improving inclusion and diversity in tech, develop a plan to work with our clients and underrepresented groups to improve inclusion and diversity, and support them to adopt inclusive recruitment processes and practices.

Gordon Brown CEO of Nine Twenty said: “I’m proud to announce Nine Twenty has joined the Tech Talent Charter. As a business, and as a recruitment agency, I endeavour to support diverse hiring practices and drive forward diversity and inclusion to address the gender balance in tech roles and readdress companies recruitment processes whilst doing so.”
