The Role:

This role is for a Front End Developer who is still early in their career and is looking for an opportunity to progress in their career within the support of a large company, while being given a high level of autonomy.

Working as part of the larger team across Europe, this role will be responsible for managing the company’s custom-built e-commerce platform, improving and monitoring it from a technical point of view with the aim to maximise user experience and functionality.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuous monitoring and improvement of the website.
  • The testing and implementing of new website features and landing pages.
  • Optimising website design to ensure compatibility with all devices.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of website features, applications and so on.
  • Ensuring maximum speed and stability of web pages is achieved through close monitoring and updating.
  • Creating reusable coding to be used on future projects.
  • Ensuring that all coding created is in line with industry standards and is compatible across all major platforms.
  • To support on projects for the e-commerce team to maximise web performance and usability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience with front-end development, and beyond.
  • Demonstrable experience of using: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Preferable to have experience with jQuery, PHP and MySQL, if on the senior end of the scale.
  • Experience working with Version Control Tools (Subversion).
  • An understanding of UX/UI principles.

Package on Offer:

  • Salary range: £30,000 to £55,000 (6 months – 3 years).
