Nine Twenty are now recruiting for a VB6 Developer to work for one of our clients in central Edinburgh on a permanent basis. Our client provides Innovative Solutions for Health Care Professionals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To continue the development of software products
- To provide complete software lifecycle support
- Design software to fulfil customer requirements
- Develop software from documented requirements and specifications in an Agile environment.
- Maintain and extend existing development activities
- Work with customers external or internal, to determine product requirements
- Find and repair software defects; unit testing
- Must be able to work in multidisciplinary teams on various projects
- You may be expected to attend customer sites to assist with development requirements (please note expenses will be covered).
Experience required:
- VB6
- SQL Server/T-SQL
- Proven experience working as a Software Developer
- Must be comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Front end/user interface design skills
- Analytical, with proven attention to detail and processes essential.
- Highly motivated and capable of working as an effective team player
Desirable:
- Experience of Agile/Scrum
- SSAS
- Microsoft certification desirable but not a pre-requisite
- Knowledge of the veterinary market would be helpful
